The seasons play a central role at Avance, with living walls of green paying tribute to the synergy between nature and the menu. Chef Justin Bogle’s progressive American menu is rooted in his relationships with area farmers and craftsmen.


Warm, gracious hospitality sets the mood in the dining room where a unique blend of earth-inspired elements welcomes diners. Black walnut tables and soft modern lighting provide the perfect back-drop for the chef’s artful plate presentations. Diners can order a la carte or select from two tasting menus: five-courses or eight-courses. Wine and beer offerings are designed to compliment the fare.

The Bar at Avance follows the lead set by the kitchen, utilizing seasonal ingredients and preserving the integrity of the cocktails, which have pre-Prohibition roots and modern profiles.

The wine program is designed to represent all the major wine-growing regions of the world. Offering over 500 selections, our list features a diverse array of boutique, organic, and biodynamic winemakers, many of whom are personal friends.

Chef Justin Bogle




Roxborough native Justin Bogle has worked with some of the best chefs in the business, including Jose Garces, Douglas Rodriguez and Christopher Lee. In 2006, Justin followed Chef Lee to NYC and assumed the role of sous chef at Gilt Restaurant in The Palace Hotel. When Lee moved on, Justin took the helm in the kitchen. At 28 years old, he received two Michelin Stars, Zagat named him one of 30 under 30 and both Star Chefs and Restaurant Hospitality named him a Rising Star Chef to Watch. Justin returned home to open Avance in December 2013.
